I’m in Manhattan (where the culture comes from) for the shooting of The Ferberizing of Coral. The funds have been raised, the cast and crew are assembled (more about that below), and the time is now! As you read this, Mitzi, Theo, Maureen, and I are rehearsing for the shoot which begins TOMORROW!
So that’s all I’m thinking about.
. . . . How are you?
Oh! I was also lucky enough to chat with the cast and director of Tinker Bell at Spring-Ford Senior High School in Royersford, PA. They had some amazing questions about the script and I always love the chance to chat with the groups putting the show on. It’s a thrill-and-a-half for me. That production runs November 15 & 16 if you’re in the greater Royersford area.

Ken Ludwig’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
Nothing makes you feel like Bob Fosse more than taking a pre-production meeting for the stage show you’re directing on a break from shooting a film you’re directing. Seriously, shades of Liza with a “Z” in here. Once designs are finalized (next week or two), I’ll share some images here.

The Ferberizing of Coral
We’re shooting a movie! (But I don’t have pictures because we actually don’t officially start until tomorrow.)
Visual Literacy - 2nd Edition
Our first round of changes are due Friday and (I think) we’re ready! I ran around Dupont Circle taking pictures last week because my visual plan for our new introductory chapter did not work at ALL. But got some nice shots.

Shakespeare’s Histories Podcast
At the time of you’re reading this (assuming today is today), Richard II and 1 Henry IV are out and available for your listening enjoyment. So . . . listen and enjoy! They’re most enjoyable. And most listenable. 2 Henry IV will be out tomorrow (again, if today is today)!

For Whom the Whistle Blows
8 years ago (roughly today), Unknown Penguin’s entry in the 2016 DC 48 Hour Politics and Comedy Festival debuted. And, man, I love this one. It was so simple and worked so well because the small group (I think we only had 7 or 8 people on this one) just pulled it off beautifully. We were rewarded with Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor (that last one made, and makes, me miss acting, which made, and makes, my wife nervous).
